The company was founded in 2001 in Vienna, with initial share capital of 70,000 euros. It is used as a holding company for the Group’s foreign investments. Its sole shareholder is HELLENIC PETROLEUM HOLDINGS SA.
During the 2002 fiscal year, 54.35% of Jugopetrol AD Kotor, which trades petroleum products in Montenegro, and the commercial activities of BP in Cyprus were acquired through Hellenic Petroleum International GmbH. The acquisitions took place using capital from the parent company HELLENIC PETROLEUM HOLDINGS SA.During the 2007 fiscal year, the Company founded three new subsidiaries (Holdings), which acquired the participations of EKO ABEE in Serbia, Bulgaria and Georgia, as follows:HELLENIC PETROLEUM SERBIA (Holdings) Limited acquired 100% of EKO-YU AD Beograd.HELLENIC PETROLEUM BULGARIA (Holdings) Limited acquired 100% of EKO-ELDA BULGARIA EAD, which was renamed EKO BULGARIA EAD.HELLENIC PETROLEUM GEORGIA (Holdings) Limited acquired 99% of EKO GEORGIA Ltd.In the above fiscal year, the liquidation of HELPE SERVICES Ltd was completed.
