HELLENiQ ENERGY listens to the social needs and takes an active role, focusing on initiatives that improve the daily life of the citizens, while at the same time contributing to the social progress.


Heating oil supply program

For 14 years now, the Group has been offering heating oil during the winter season to public structures, such as schools in the neighboring municipalities where it operates. Since 2009, more than 2,500,000 liters of heating oil have been offered to over 1,700 public educational institutions in neighboring municipalities, creating suitable learning conditions for over 310,000 students.

This year, recognizing the effects of the global energy crisis on society, HELLENiQ ENERGY with the Corporate Responsibility program "Heat Wave", is expanding these actions.

Specifically, HELLENiQ ENERGY will cover, through its companies HELLENIC PETROLEUM and EKO, all the winter needs in EKO heating oil in the largest Public Pediatric Hospitals of the country, "Agia Sophia", "Panagiotis and Aglaia Kyriakou" and " Children's Pentelis" in Attica, as well as in the pediatric nursing units of the Hippocrates Hospital in Thessaloniki.

It has also designed and implemented initiative, offering heating oil to low - annual income large families, covering up to 500 liters per family. in view of the festive season. The Program is implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor & Social Affairs and the Ministry of Finance, with the valuable support of the Independent Public Revenue Authority (AADE). In particular, through the online platform, those interested can see detailed program information and participation conditions and make their application by 12/31/2022.


Response to the COVID-19 pandemic

The Group, with a sense of responsibility, contributed to the collective national effort to tackle the pandemic crisis in 2020 and 2021, by supporting in practice the National Health System and society with donations totaling € 8 mil.

Provision of basic necessities

The Group supports the operation of social grocery stores and the parishes of the municipalities adjacent to its facilities, providing, on a monthly basis, basic necessities to more than 1,750 families living below the poverty line.


Support for the Make-A-Wish Greece non profit organization

In order to offer a better future to the new generation, the Group supported the Make-A-Wish Greece non-profit organization and distributed 15,000 "Wish Stars" to all the children of the Kindergartens and Primary Schools of the Municipalities of Aspropyrgos, Elefsina, Mandra, Megara and Delta of Thessaloniki, granting the wishes of six children with serious illnesses, who reside in Thriasio and Thessaloniki.


Support to civil society institutions and bodies

For yet another year, the Group supported the work of various organizations that cater for vulnerable groups of the population, thus expressing a message of solidarity and social contribution.
